The above map uses data from Google Maps and will automatically find your location with the help of IP addresses or GPS. However, GPS must be turned on, if you are using a cell phone, for the map to work. Results include mall opening hours, local phone numbers, customer reviews, plus you can use the additional “directions” feature to quickly navigate there if you’re driving.

Malls across the country and around the world are focusing on “mall experiences” instead of just shopping. How? Because the statistics show a change in attitude among consumers. A survey of 3,334 shoppers shows that consumers use malls primarily for socializing, eating, and new experiences.
80% of consumers have shopped with someone else, so socializing is an important part of the consumer experience. They use shopping malls to spend time with their children, family and friends.
74% say some form of sensory stimulation is important, whether it’s the aromas of restaurants and cafes, the display of colors, new product launches or designs.
42% of consumers eat in a restaurant while visiting the mall, while 39% participate in an experience not related to shopping (cinema, toy library or show).
The future of shopping malls? The West Edmonton Mall combines shopping with experiences like playgrounds, a water park, a roller coaster, bowling alleys and movie theaters.
Shopping center opening hours
The typical opening hours of the mall are:
Monday to Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Of course, opening hours vary greatly from mall to mall, so the above hours are just a general guide. All malls and department stores stay open longer hours between Thanksgiving weekend and Christmas Eve for the holiday shopping season. Many are open until 11 pm during this time.
Shopping centers open 24 hours
Surprisingly, we couldn’t find a single 24-hour mall in the entire United States during our search. There are currently no 24-hour shopping malls in the United States, not even in New York or Las Vegas.
